Flintshire County Council

When Flintshire County Council needed a quick and cost-effective replacement for the synthetic turf pitch at Connah's Quay Sports Centre it turned to Notts Sport – again.

The company had already provided the original surfacing but, after more than 10 years of intensive use, the pitch was ready for replacement.

Mike Hornby, Flintshire County Council's Head of Leisure Services, explains:

"The pitch was extremely well used by both Connah's Quay High School and the local community, but even the best artificial surfaces wear out eventually."

Fortunately, Notts Sport's use of the highest quality components meant that the system was in good condition and it was simply a matter of stripping away the top carpet and replacing it with a new VHAF NottsSward artificial surface.

Flintshire County Council has enjoyed a long and successful relationship with Notts Sport. In fact all the local authority's artificial turf pitches have been supplied by the company.

What our Clients say

Ruth Cooksey Senior Youth Worker at North Sedgemoor Local Service Team "The new multi-sports surface has been such a tremendous success and has truly helped rejuvenate the facility we have. Re-surfacing the court formed an integral part of a programme of improvements to Axbridge Youth Centre and has been one of the highlights of the scheme.”
